Welcome to Saju Compass ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application Saju Compass (the "Service"). By using Saju Compass, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1.1 Information You Provide

• Birth Information: Date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth — required to generate your Saju (Four Pillars) chart.
• Profile Information (Optional): Name or nickname, gender, profile photo.
• Compatibility Data (Optional): When using compatibility features, you may enter another person's birth information. You confirm you have permission to enter this data.
• AI Chat Messages: Questions and conversations within the AI Master chat feature.
• Purchase Information: Handled by Google Play Billing. We do not store credit card numbers or financial details.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating system, language settings, time zone.
• Usage Analytics: Features used, screen visits, session duration (anonymized).
• Crash & Diagnostic Logs: Error reports for service improvement.
• IP Address: For security and rate-limiting purposes only.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Precise location data (GPS)
• Contact list or phone book
• Photos or media beyond what you intentionally upload
• Health, biometric, or financial data beyond Play Billing transactions

• Generate your personalized Saju chart and astrological readings
• Provide AI-powered chat responses grounded in your chart
• Deliver daily readings and push notifications (if enabled)
• Process subscriptions and in-app purchases via Google Play Billing
• Improve our service through anonymous analytics
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud

4. AI Processing

Saju Compass uses OpenAI's GPT API and Google's Gemini AI to generate personalized interpretations of your Saju chart. Your birth data and chat messages are processed through these APIs to produce readings. Requests are sent to OpenAI first; Google Gemini serves as a fallback if that service is unavailable. Their privacy practices can be reviewed at OpenAI API Data Usage Policies and Google AI Terms. Neither provider uses your data to train their models, and we do not use your data to train AI models.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:

• Google Play Billing: For payment processing
• OpenAI, L.L.C. (GPT API): For AI-generated readings (data not used by OpenAI for training)
• Google Gemini API: For AI-generated readings, used as fallback (data not retained by Google for training)
• Render Inc. (Hosting): Backend infrastructure provider
• Legal Authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect rights

8. Children's Privacy

Saju Compass is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

9. Security

• All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS 1.3 encryption
• Passwords and tokens hashed using industry-standard algorithms
• Servers hosted on Render (SOC 2 compliant infrastructure)
• Regular security audits and updates
• Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your data may be processed in countries outside your residence, including South Korea (developer's country) and the United States (Google services). We ensure appropriate safeguards through Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

11. Cookies and Tracking

Our mobile app does not use third-party tracking cookies. We use only essential local storage to remember your preferences (e.g., language, dark mode).

Saju Compass provides Korean astrology readings for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only. The content is not professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. Always consult qualified professionals for important life decisions.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app notice and email (if you have provided one) at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
